A Clinical Study on the Constitutional Characteristics of Diabetes Mellitus Patients

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to find the constitutional characteristics of diabetes mellitus patients, it was analyzed with SPSS 7.5.1 that fasting serum glucose level, urine glucose, weight, height, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, total cholesterol, Triglyceride, serum creatinine, HDL -cholesterol of the examinee of KyungHee medical center.
The results were as follows :
1. The incidences of D.M are 4.8% in male, 3.4% in female, 4.2% in´ total patients. According to constitution, they are 5.7% in taeumin, 4.2% in soyangin, 1.1% in soeumin.
2. In the relationship between D.M and obesity, only 3.8% of D.M patients was obese. And only D.M patients of taeumin were obesity.
3. The incidence of hypertension of D.M patients was 23.6%. The incidence of hyperlipoproteinemia of D.M patients was 17.9% by total cholesterol, 13.2% by LDL -cholesterol and each case was significant.
4. The incidence of proteinuria of D.M patients was 23.6% and it was significant.
